Medieval games of South Tyrol: Knights' battles in the castles of Sluderno
Live the medieval age and the emotions of the dark centuries: the Medieval Games are back in South Tyrol!
Sluderno and its Castel Coira, the ruins of Montechiaro, Castel Principe and the abbey of Monte Maria offers the right environment for this event. From 21st to 23rd August 2020, you can live an incredible journey through time.
1300 reenactors from 12 countries meet in South Tyrol. You will have the opportunity to follow the deeds of brave knights who challenge each other to commemorate the epic battles of the great Emperor Maximilian I.
Through the streets of Sluderno you can admire the market, jugglers, flag throwers, choirs, medieval musicians and acrobats. In the taverns you can drink mead cider or taste some typical specialties of this era. You can wear medieval costumes, archery or stay overnight in one of the tents in the city center.
During the medieval fair it will be organized courses for those who want to engage in medieval activities: bagpipes, falconry, hurdy-gurdy…fun is guaranteed for everyone!
