Thanksgiving Festival in Bolzano

21th October 2023
Bolzano, Piazza Walther square

As every year, on Saturday 21st October from 8.30 a.m. until 5 p.m., Thanksgiving Day takes place in Bolzano, at the historic Walther Square in the South Tyrolean town.

The event, organised by the Bauernbund, the Farmers' and Direct Farmers' Union of South Tyrol, aims to give thanks for the blessing of the harvest.

Around 35 food stands are set up for the event, where farmers and growers offer their genuine local products, both fresh and seasoned, which can be tasted and purchased, such as fruit, vegetables, juices, syrups, aromatic herbs, cheeses, cold cuts and much more.

A rich programme of musical and other entertainment is offered during the day, including show cooking where participants, using local products, can learn and try themselves to prepare some traditional South Tyrolean specialities.

For the youngest visitors too, fun is guaranteed: an area specially equipped for children will give them the chance to play with hay and visit the small didactic zoo where they will be able to stroke the farm animals.

Enjoy a day in Bolzano dedicated to nature and its fruits and learn more about local products and traditions.
