Plan de Corones panoramic winter view of the slopes

Plan de Corones in winter: Skiing, snow and adrenaline in the heart of the Dolomites

For winter sports enthusiasts, Plan de Corones is one of South Tyrol’s most sought-after destinations. With over 100 km of perfectly groomed slopes and 31 ski lifts, this area is not only a paradise for skiers and snowboarders but also a true European benchmark for winter holidays. Impeccable organization, a wide variety of activities and breathtaking scenery are the hallmarks of this exceptional destination.

A jewel of the Dolomiti Superski

Plan de Corones is part of the Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski carousel in the world, featuring 1,200 km of slopes and 12 ski areas connected by a single skipass. Alongside Plan de Corones, it also includes iconic resorts such as Cortina d’Ampezzo, Alta Badia, Val Gardena (Alpe di Siusi), Val di Fassa (Carezza), Arabba (Marmolada), Tre Cime, Rio Pusteria (Bressanone), Val di Fiemme (Obereggen) and many more. It’s a unique opportunity for anyone who loves to discover new horizons every day with skis on their feet.

Three slopes, different experiences

The ski area unfolds over three sides, each offering a different kind of experience:

San Vigilio di Marebbe: perfect for families and beginners, with gentle slopes and well-equipped ski schools.

Riscone/Brunico: the technical heart of the resort, featuring more challenging runs for expert skiers and thrill-seekers.

Valdaora and Anterselva: ideal for cross-country skiing and for those seeking quieter routes or biathlon activities.

Cross-country skiing, snowparks and ski touring

Plan de Corones is not only about downhill skiing. The area offers 180 km of cross-country trails and is part of the Dolomiti NordicSki circuit — the largest in Europe, with 1,000 km of tracks in South Tyrol alone.

For snowboarders, the Snowpark Kronplatz is the biggest in the region: it’s located near the “Belvedere” lift, facing southeast and always kissed by the sun. Jumps, rails, kickers and freestyle lines make it perfect for riders of every level.

And that’s not all: tobogganing, snowshoeing, ski touring, winter hiking and a wide range of ski schools and kids parks make the area ideal for families as well.

Plan de Corones is a destination that brings everyone together — from expert skiers to beginners, from cross-country fans to lovers of freeride adventures. A mountain to experience in all its energy and beauty, for unforgettable snow-filled holidays.
