Plan de Corones in summer: Nature, sports and unforgettable views
In the heart of the Dolomites, Plan de Corones transforms into an ideal destination for summer holidays, offering a variety of experiences that combine nature, sports and culture. From panoramic hikes and high-altitude cycling to horseback adventures, every day can be filled with both excitement and wellbeing.
Panoramic hikes for every level
Whether you’re an experienced hiker or simply enjoy relaxing walks, you’ll find the perfect route among the many well-marked trails. One of the most popular routes is the Plan de Corones panoramic trail, accessible by cable car from Riscone. Once at the top, you can visit the Concordia Bell, located on a terrace with breathtaking views over the Alpi Aurine and the Dolomites, before continuing along the circular path surrounded by nature.
By bike through the Val Pusteria

The Plan de Corones holiday area is a true paradise for cyclists: more than 1,100 km of routes await bikers, including the renowned Val Pusteria cycle path, which runs from Rio Pusteria all the way to San Candido — a 61 km route winding through villages and alpine landscapes. Mountain bike enthusiasts will also find technical and exciting trails suitable for every skill level.

Nordic walking and sports all around
At the foot of Plan de Corones, from Falzes to Rasun, stretches the largest Nordic Walking Park in Europe, featuring 275 km of trails. The area also includes a school for those who wish to learn or refine their technique.
In addition, there are six riding stables for those who wish to explore the area on horseback, the Golf Club Pustertal in Riscone, and the modern Cron4 wellness center with an indoor pool and sauna area.
Plan de Corones is much more than a ski destination — in summer, it becomes a realm of freedom, sweeping panoramas and outdoor activities. A destination to experience with all your senses, whether at a slow pace or on two wheels.
