Obereggen, part of the Ski Center Latemar area, is one of the most beloved ski resorts in South Tyrol. Here, the winter season means perfect snow and guaranteed fun, thanks to a state-of-the-art snowmaking system with over 160 snow cannons, capable of covering 100% of the slopes throughout the season.
48 km of slopes, 18 lifts, and dreamlike panoramas
From early December to March, Obereggen offers 48 km of perfectly groomed slopes, all connected by 18 modern ski lifts that ensure speed, comfort, and minimal waiting times. The ski area, which also includes Pampeago and Predazzo, offers runs for every skill level:
- 10 blue slopes for beginners
- 22 red slopes for intermediate skiers
- 8 black slopes for those seeking a challenge, including the legendary Pala di Santa, 2 km long with gradients of up to 58%.
All of this unfolds in a spectacular setting: at the foot of the Latemar, a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site, surrounded by snow-covered forests and clear skies.
Night skiing and tobogganing: When fun never sleeps
Every Tuesday and Friday, the slopes light up from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. — a unique opportunity to experience the magic of night skiing or to try the longest toboggan run in Val d’Ega, served by the Ochsenweide cable car and fully illuminated.
Snowboard and freestyle: Pure energy at the Snowpark
Snowboarders will find Obereggen a true paradise. The Snowpark at 2,032 m a.s.l., 650 meters long and up to 150 meters wide, features easy and medium lines updated every year. Served by a chairlift and fully snow-covered, the park is fenced off and maintained daily in perfect condition.
Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and scenic walks
Those seeking tranquility can set off from Obereggen on beautiful snowshoe hikes, such as the trail to Malga Epircher-Laner (2.5 km – about 1.5 hours). In the surroundings — between Nova Ponente, Ega, and Monte San Pietro — there are more than 20 km of winter trails, ranging from easy 30-minute walks to more demanding routes.
For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, a free shuttle service connects to Passo Lavazè, which offers 100 km of well-groomed and snow-covered trails immersed in breathtaking natural scenery.
