Asparagus Weeks in Terlano and surroundings
In the coming weeks, the towns of Terlano, Vilpiano, and Settequerce will host the traditional event entirely dedicated to asparagus. This celebration honors the Margarete asparagus from Terlano, renowned for its delicate flavor and exceptional quality.
South Tyrol's "white gold" is hand-harvested early in the morning and delivered fresh to local restaurateurs. During these special weeks, six renowned restaurants in Terlano, which have long paid homage to this prized vegetable, will delight guests with unique and unforgettable creations.
You can also enjoy a guided excursion dedicated to the history and traditions of Terlano’s asparagus, complete with tastings of unique dishes and fine wines from the Terlano Winery — a truly authentic and flavorful experience.
Treat your palate to the classic South Tyrolean asparagus dish: fresh asparagus served with cooked ham, boiled potatoes, and the famous Bolzano sauce... and be transported by a centuries-old tradition that speaks of authenticity and respect for nature.
There will also be the opportunity to join an asparagus bike tour — a guided two-wheeled tour through the "Asparagus Triangle," perfect for discovering the area's rich culinary heritage.
