Marmor & Marillen: Discovering the Treasures of Lasa
Lasa in the Venosta Valley is known for two special products: apricots and marble. As every year, the “Marmor & Marillen” festival returns on the first weekend of August and has been celebrating these two treasures of the valley for over 20 years.
From 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, a market with more than 40 stalls awaits you in the village. There you can enjoy traditional specialities and purchase works by local artists and sculptors.
Live music and a varied programme for both adults and children are also part of the event. The festival honours the symbols of this region and brings their history to life in an enjoyable and lively way.
Lasa marble, also known as “white gold from the Jennwand quarry”, enjoys a high reputation both nationally and internationally. This precious stone of rare purity is particularly appreciated because it is weather-resistant and retains its shine.
The apricots, on the other hand, shape the summer in the Venosta Valley. The Lasa apricot is known for its unique, unmistakable flavour, oval shape, fine skin and yellow-orange colour.
Do not miss this special event: look forward to unique apricot recipes, watch artists create impressive marble artworks and enjoy traditional music at concerts by local bands.
Information and the detailed programme can be found on the official website.
