Christmas Market in Sarentino – Traditional Crafts
Only around 20 kilometres from Bolzano, Alpine Advent in Sarentino places authentic South Tyrol at the heart of the experience. Small wooden stalls, local crafts, traditional music and specialities from the valley shape the Christmas Market.
Live workshops and the craft culture of Val Sarentino are particularly characteristic.
Among the festively decorated huts you will find typical, handcrafted and home-made products. Highlights include high-quality Sarentino specialities in wood, mountain pine, leather, wool and honey, alongside original Christmas decorations and creations born of farming tradition, such as the Sarnar Toppar (slippers in pure new wool) and the Sarnar Janggar (new-wool jacket).
Thanks to the collaboration with local youth associations, Alpine Advent in Val Sarentino offers a rich programme for the youngest visitors every year, while the stalls serve freshly made crêpes and a hot drink made from cooked apples.
