Christmas Markets at Castel Tirolo

Overlooking the famous Merano, Castel Tirolo becomes a fairy-tale setting for a Christmas market steeped in history. The castle courtyard and the Knights’ Hall turn into exhibition spaces where local artisans proudly showcase their ancient crafts: from felt-making and basket weaving to the creation of artistic jewellery and ceramics.
Inside the castle chapel, women farmers display beautiful handcrafted nativity scenes, while the air fills with music from local bands and traditional groups. For children, every day brings new surprises with creative workshops and shows. Don’t miss the moving charity concert that closes the market in the magnificent Knights’ Hall.
Christmas Markets in Egna and “Christmas on Dürer’s Path” in Laghetti

During the festive season, Egna opens the doors of its historic centre to one of the most atmospheric markets in the area. Here you’ll find:

- Living Nativity scene by the Heimatbühne theatre group

A few kilometres away, in the small village of Laghetti, you’ll find the “Christmas on Dürer’s Path”, where a nativity exhibition and children’s workshops blend with the scent of spices and the warm embrace of Christmas lights.

Every Saturday and Sunday, in the square in front of the Town Hall, the town of Laives celebrates Christmas with a market organised by local associations. You’ll find handcrafted and culinary products, while the living Nativity scene inside the parish church and the Nativity trail lead you on a journey of beauty and spirituality. A musical programme enriches the experience with sounds and melodies typical of Advent.
