Strolling among the carefully decorated wooden stalls, you can discover handcrafted creations made by local artisans: artistic candles, Christmas decorations, felt items, jams, floral arrangements and refined ornaments. All accompanied by the enveloping scent of mulled wine and traditional sweets such as Zelten—made with dried fruit and spices—Spekulatius and Stollen, cinnamon biscuits and gingerbread.

• The arrival of the Krampus in Castelrotto (13 December, 5:00 p.m.): the legendary Alpine creatures parade through the village streets in a spectacular and thrilling event.
• Christmas concert by the Kastelruther Spatzen (19 December): the famous musical group performs at the Telfen Tennis Hall with Christmas songs that have moved generations.
