Christmas Market in Bolzano
When Walther Square fills with lights, decorated wooden huts and the scent of Christmas baking, the season of the Bolzano Christmas Market begins in the heart of South Tyrol’s capital. From 27 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, the traditional market celebrates its 35th edition.
Around Walther Square and in the historic Old Town, you will find South Tyrolean crafts, Christmas decorations, wood and ceramic work and regional gift ideas. Classic Advent treats include apple strudel, Zelten, Christmas biscuits and mulled wine.

Christmas atmosphere in Bolzano Old Town
A walk-through festive Bolzano is worthwhile even away from the market stalls. The Christmas Park complements the market in the centre, while music and family activities accompany the Advent season.
A visit to the Christmas Market can therefore be easily combined with the historic Old Town, the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology or an excursion to the Renon Plateau.
