Museion: The Heart of Modern and Contemporary Art in Bolzano

Since 2008, the Museion — Bolzano’s museum of modern and contemporary art — has been housed in its spectacular building on the Talvera meadows. The structure, an iconic glass cube, was designed by the Berlin-based architecture firm KSV Krüger Schuberth Vandreike, whose partners studied at the renowned Bauhaus in Weimar.

This extraordinary museum is not just a container for art but an architectural work that engages in dialogue with the city and its surroundings.
