South Tyrolean Speck Festival 2026
On the last weekend of September, the high plateau of Kronplatz turns into a paradise for everyone who loves authentic South Tyrolean specialities. The South Tyrolean Speck Festival returns for the second time – an event dedicated to one of the region’s culinary symbols: Speck.
The aroma of tradition
For two days, you can enjoy a varied programme with live music, market stalls and tasting tours. Try different specialities featuring Speck, paired with local cheeses and South Tyrolean wines – for a delicious journey through the flavours of South Tyrol.
Discover farms and producers
During the festival, guided hikes to local farms are organised. There, you can learn more about the history, secrets and passion of local producers. A special opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Speck and enjoy an authentic South Tyrolean experience.
An event with views of the Dolomites
The festival takes place in one of South Tyrol’s most impressive settings: at 2,275 metres above sea level, Kronplatz offers spectacular views of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the surrounding Alpine peaks.
Getting to the event is easy thanks to the cable cars, which are open from 9:00 AM.

For the event, the return cable car ticket is available at the special price of €18.00.
