Red Bull X-Alps 2025: Merano 2000 and Scena take center stage in the Alps’ most extreme adventure
The Red Bull X-Alps returns in 2025 with its longest and most challenging route ever: 1,283 km across 5 countries, 16 turnpoints, and 4 Alpine crossings. Among the most exciting new features, South Tyrol makes its official debut with two key stages: the Kuhleiten mountain hut at Merano 2000 and the village center of Scena.

Athletes from around the world will have to tackle the Heini Holzer via ferrata to reach the Kuhleiten Hut at Merano 2000 — one of the route’s most technical segments. Shortly after, a short flight will bring them to the second turnpoint located in the heart of Scena.
X-Days: Events and activities for everyone
From June 14 to 19, 2025, Merano 2000 and Scena will host X-Days, a vibrant series of side events that bring fans and visitors close to the race experience:
- Charity tandem flights with the Tandemclub Ifinger
- Grill & Chill sessions at the Kuhleiten Hut
- Talks and film screenings with local athletes like the Weger brothers and alpinist Tamara Lunger
- Hike & Fly meetups, family treasure hunts, and creative kids' workshops
