Confetti Festival in Villabassa

Don’t miss Ferragosto in Villabassa: a colorful, joyful event full of tradition for all ages!

Every year on August 15, Villabassa celebrates the Confetti Festival, a one-of-a-kind event that dates back to 1924. Likely introduced by Italian guests and brought to Tyrol, this “confetti and flower” celebration is now one of the most cherished events in all of South Tyrol.

The evening begins with an enchanting parade: a group on horseback leads a procession of proud children carrying brightly colored lanterns through the village streets. The Villabassa town band accompanies them to the Music Pavilion, where the event culminates in a festive open-air concert.

It’s a magical evening in the heart of the Alps—perfect for families, locals, and visitors alike.

In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for August 17.
