Confetti Festival in Villabassa

Do not miss Ferragosto in Villabassa: a traditional event full of colour and joie de vivre, ideal for all ages.

Every year on August 15, the unique Confetti Festival takes place in Villabassa, with roots dating back to 1924. It is believed to have originated thanks to some Italian guests and was later brought to South Tyrol. Today, the “Festival of Confetti and Flowers” is one of the most popular events in all of South Tyrol.

The evening begins with an atmospheric parade: a group of riders leads the children, who proudly carry their colourful lanterns through the village. The Villabassa music band accompanies the parade to the music pavilion, where the festival ends with a charming open-air concert.
