The Bolzano Festival Bozen: Youth classical music
If you're looking for a unique and engaging cultural experience, get ready for Bolzano Festival Bozen!
Since 2004, the South Tyrolean city of Bolzano has hosted this summer festival dedicated to classical music.
Now a must-attend event, Bolzano Festival Bozen was created to celebrate young people—symbols of renewal and the future—and music, as a powerful means to overcome all types of barriers, whether physical, cultural, linguistic, or gender-related.
The festival kicks off on August 5 at 8:30 PM with a performance by the Haydn Orchestra conducted by Roberto Molinelli. The opening concert, featuring a renowned musical program, will take place in the enchanting setting of the Semirurali Park and will be free to attend.
An extraordinarily rich and diverse program awaits: a series of concerts by youth orchestras such as the European Union Youth Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, and many more.
Also presenting unique events are the Bolzano String Academy and the C. Monteverdi Conservatory, which will bring music to courtyards and neighborhoods throughout the city. Meanwhile, young pianists from local music schools will perform in Bolzano's historic center.
A myriad of genres and styles will merge in a crescendo of melodies to enchant you—from classical symphonies to contemporary compositions, all performed in historic and evocative locations.
On September 7 at 10:00 AM, the grand finale of the prestigious Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition—now in its 65th edition—will bring this unforgettable musical journey to a close.
Tickets and seat reservations for free concerts can be purchased at the following outlets: Bolzano Municipal Theatre, Tourist Info Point, 13 branches of the Savings Bank, or online at www.ticket.bz.it.
