The Craft Beer Festival in Bolzano’s Old Town

One of the most atmospheric venues in Bolzano’s cultural scene is getting ready to host the new edition of a festival dedicated to one of the oldest drinks ever produced by humans: beer.

On the weekend of April 17 and 18, the beautiful Maretsch Castle, in the heart of Bolzano’s old town and surrounded by historic walls and vineyards, will host the Beer Craft – International Craft Beer Meeting.

Since 2015, the event has been a popular meeting point for everyone who loves hops, malt and craft beer. The festival transforms the castle into a gathering place for producers, national and international brewers, and visitors eager to discover the latest trends in craft brewing.

At the festival, brewers from Italy and abroad present their most innovative creations as well as timeless classics. From fresh citrus notes and aromatic speciality beers to full-bodied varieties, there is a beer to suit every taste.

In addition to tastings, experts offer fascinating insights into brewing techniques, ingredients and current developments in the world of beer. At the same time, the festival is an opportunity to discover the craftsmanship and dedication of South Tyrolean beer producers with the “Quality South Tyrol” label.

However, the event is not only a journey through aromas and flavours, but also an experience of genuine South Tyrolean hospitality. Live music and varied entertainment create a lively atmosphere and make the festival an authentic and convivial experience.
