Giro d’Italia returns to the Dolomites of South Tyrol

The Giro returns to South Tyrol in May

Giro d’Italia will make a stop in South Tyrol this year, too: the 19th and third last stop is in fact scheduled for Friday, May 26, 2017 in Alta Pusteria. The tour stretches uphill from San Candido / Innichen, until reaching Piancavallo (PN) near Aviano, with a 191 km route and a total of 1100 m altitude.

Cycling fans cannot miss this exciting event, made even more spectacular by the splendid setting of the Dolomites of Val Pusteria. Even those who are not very familiar with the two wheels will be captured by the adrenaline and euphoria that characterizes every stage of the Route and annually attracts a crowd of onlookers and enthusiasts: a real show!
